Welcome to Meganisi Music Holidays
Meganisi Music Holidays offer music courses on the unspoilt Greek Ionian island of Meganisi as an integral part of a Mediterranean holiday.
As well as music making there will be time for country walks, swimming in crystal clear water, or relaxation on the hotel terrace with its spectacular views over the olive trees to the Ionian sea and distant mountains. Accommodation will be in the family run Hotel Meganisi with its well reviewed restaurant serving home cooked food.
The music sessions will take place in Kourtava, some 450m from the hotel. Like the hotel, the rehearsal space and allied terraces enjoy wonderful views of olive groves, sea and mountains.
The courses run from Monday to Saturday, with music making sessions in the morning and early evening. Practical courses conclude with an informal concert on the Saturday night followed by an end of course dinner.
The music course element is £120 per week for practical courses, with up to about 25 students on each course.

The courses are directed by Roger Durston, an ex choral scholar of King's College Cambridge, who is an established conductor and music educationalist.
The next course is from May 6th to 13th 2012 and will be for choral singers. The repertoire will include motets by Purcell, Bach, Mozart and their contemporaries, as well as part songs and madrigals.
The music course fee includes all music tuition and the hire of music.
Meganisi Music Holidays is not a travel company, so delegates will be expected to make their own travel and accommodation arrangements with travel agents and the Hotel Meganisi.
